The first website I produced as a travel guide to a major football tournament in Germany was for the 2006 World Cup. Just as for this website, I gave it a very straightforward name: www.TheWorldCupinGermany.com

I like to think it helped quite a lot of fans find their way around, book hotels and get to the grounds.

As on that site, I've included on this one sections on the tournament venues, where to stay and how to travel around. In 2006, I had a group-stage base near Frankfurt and then later saw England's games at the knock-out stage in Stuttgart and Gelsenkirchen, before watching the Germany vs Italy semi-final in Dortmund and spending the last few days of the tournament in Berlin, though sadly without a ticket for the final at the Olympic Stadium.

Maybe I'll have better luck this time!!
