Niederrhein Airport in Weeze, a town close to the German/Dutch border, lies over 50 miles away from central Düsseldorf, despite the 'Düsseldorf Weeze' name given to it by Ryanair. 

As a result of its location, it can take around 90 minutes to get to Düsseldorf city centre (e.g., by bus number 73 to Bahnhof Kevelaer any train from there going to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof) and around 2 hours to reach the Merkur Spiel-Arena. The latter journey could, for example be: bus SW1 A to Bahnhof Weeze, any train from there to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (main station) and then the U78 underground to MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA/Messe Nord.
