Apart from the DDR-era floodlights, the stadium is barely visible, embedded into a valley in the hillls.

The floodlights, installed just before the Wall came down, are a prominent feature from all angles.

That half is clearly where the 'ultras' prefer to stand. "We are Wismut Aue", says the banner. A frequently used battle cry!

Night has fallen as the fans head for home. The 1989 floodlights as prominent as ever.
